I have to stop waiting until the last minutes of the day to do these but I am so much more productive at night than I am in the morning.

I was reading some scriptures earlier that I go to when I am overwhelmed by life and it’s difficult circumstances.  I am thankful for these scriptures because they remind me of just how big my God is and just how in control of things He is.

Jeremiah 32:17

Ah, Lord God!  Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm.  There is nothing too hard for You.

James 4:8

Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Philippians 4:6-7

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Notice here it says in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, that means even in the hard times we are to be thankful and thank God and not grumble about how bad we have it )

Romans 5:1-5

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character, and character, hope.  Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. (Glory even in tribulation, now that’s not one that you’ll hear in many churches today!)

Luke 12:25-26

“And which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do the least why are you anxious for the rest?”

Joshua 1:9

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.

Psalm 27:1

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;

Be not dismayed, For I am your God,

I will strengthen you,

Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.
