Is today the day of salvation or do you get another chance if you are left behind?  Is it really like the popular book series would have us to believe?  Or do we have to get it right this side of the rapture?  Lets just take a look at some examples in scripture to see if there is another chance to be saved after the rapture.

Lets look at The Parable of the Ten Virgins:

Matthew 25:1-13

The Parable of the Wise and Foolish Virgins

1 “Then the kingdom of heaven shall be likened to ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. 2 Now five of them were wise, and five were foolish. 3 Those who were foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them, 4 but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 5 But while the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.
6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming;[a] go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’
13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour[b] in which the Son of Man is coming.

We see here that the foolish virgins were not prepared for the coming of the bride-groom, they missed his coming and he took  those who were ready with him to the wedding and shut the door.  Notice when the foolish unprepared virgins returned asking, “Lord, Lord, open to us!”, he answered and said, “Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.”  He then says to watch therefore, for you don’t know the day or the hour that the Son of Man is coming.  When Christ returns for his bride, those that are the saved of the earth, He removes them and he will shut the door.  There will be no more chance.  There was no more chance for those in the days of Noah and the flood, there was also no more chance for those in Sodom and Gomorrah either.  These Left Behind books have taught a dangerous message that will lead many to believe they can hold out and if they miss the first boat they can get on the next one.  People have gotten the idea that they can watch for certain signs of the times to determine the return of Christ, thinking that certain things haven’t happened yet on the prophetic calendar and they still have time to get it right.  Furthermore, why would Christ give another chance after he returns for his people knowing that most that would choose him in that time would only be doing so to escape the wrath of God?

Today is the day of salvation, don’t put this off waiting for peace treaty’s, temples to be rebuilt, Antichrist to be revealed and  signs and wonders to happen because if you would get out your history books and read them alongside your bible you would find out that these things you are waiting for have already happened.  If you are now confused by that statement I suggest you listen to the sermon series under the category Book of Daniel/Elizabeth Baptist here on my blog.  We have been in the last times since Christ was here and the office of the  Antichrist has been here for centuries.  Listen to the sermons and see for yourself how the book of Daniel lines up perfectly with your history books.  And forget everything you ever read in the Left Behind books because that is nothing but a lie of the devil to trap people into thinking they have more time, the time is NOW!  Call upon the name of the Lord and be saved while there is still time, before he shuts the door.
